About Tall Oaks

Tall Oaks was formed in 2008 from a merger of two local training providers: Acorn Training and Assessment Centre was a well established provider of NVQ training and assessment as part of Acorn Childcare, a local chain of nurseries; and Jeanne Barczewska who worked as a freelance trainer and consultant.

Our training courses are open to anyone working in early years settings and include Core Skills, Creative Learning courses and Outdoor Learning Courses. We also offer Level 2 and Level 3 Cache QCF qualifications.

Tall Oaks has expanded its range of activities to include the provision of Forest Schools, with several sites across the Milton Keynes and Northants area, including Salcey Forest, Shenley Wood and Irchester Country Park. Tall Oaks provides Forest School sessions for local nurseries and schools.
